Alright folks, I know some of you out there didn’t believe me that I could do an entirely handmade Christmas, but let me assure you, I am well on my way! In total, Ryan & I have twenty people to make gifts for. We have currently completed two, but are midway through three others. The second piece of advice I have so far for anyone out there who may be considering doing this themselves: just work on whatever you are inspired to work on at the time. Forget all the rest. It is easy to feel overwhelmed with such a task, but by simply concentrating on the one gift at hand you are putting your entire effort into a personal gift for that person. There’s really nothing better that you can do than that. So start early & do what you’re inspired to do! It’s just that simple! (P.s. I don’t even know what I’m making for seven of the people on my list! I still have plenty of time, though.)
On a side note, sorry I haven’t been updating with as much depth or care as I usually do. November is probably the hardest month of the year for me to write here since I am at the same time completing my NaNoWriMo novel, making handmade gifts for every person in my life, trying to do my part around the house, while also maintaining my sanity & a full time job. Phew! Forgive me. I’ll be back to the blog with all of my efforts some time next month!
