I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that whenever I stumble upon a blog of interest to me I like to pass the link along to you. Most likely, some of the links I’ve passed on have caught your eye & also, I’m sure, some of them haven’t, so if you are one of the people that tends to skip past my vegetarian rants, or my foodie entries without any interest, you might think of passing this one up, too. However, I do think that Lyndsay’s blog has a bit more merit than mine since it’s from a different point of view that she writes! I chose to stop eating meat one fateful day when I was enjoying a delicious chicken salad sandwich made by my Mum. She had made it just so, with dried cranberries mixed throughout the chicken, & I remember thinking how truly delicious it really was. When all of the sudden, Ryan shows me a picture of the machine that is used to de-beak chickens in all factory farms (ie. whenever you get your chicken from the grocery store, you are probably eating a chicken that has been debeaked). That was the beginning of vegetarianism for me.

But for Lyndsay it was quite a bit different (although her love of animals is similar to mine & I think she probably would have come around to the dark side eventually, mwahaha). She chose to stop eating meat after she noticed that frequent emergency room visits due to severe stomach pains may have been a result of her eating habits. She cut meat out of her diet & voila! She felt worlds better already! Well, years have passed & she does find her quality of life to be much better than it was while she was omnivorous, but…she can’t help thinking of how much it would improve if she also refrained from eating dairy. This is where my silly storytelling ends, & her blog begins. Follow my friend Lyndsay on her journey into veganism & see what it might be like. Don’t worry, she won’t be trying to convince you that her way is the right way — she’s doing this because it is better for her personal health, & we readers have the benefit of starting with her right from the beginning. Yesterday was her Day 1.

Have a lovely day!
