Another carrot-y breakfast today. Carrots really are the best to-go food that I can think of that is native to our region. Bananas, oh, bananas, you were such a great contender…but you need to learn how to grown in colder regions before I can make a habit out of eating you again. I followed my carrot up soon after by some leftover tomato soup with rice mixed in. Since I’m working an extra long shift today to cover for someone, I was told to come in two hours later, so I had the chance to sleep in. Thus, my light breakfast, & my soon-to-follow lunch.
The soup was just as good as it was yesterday, and even more hearty with the rice added in!
And here I must apologize. I’d love to tell you what I had for dinner, but I’ve been starting each entry on the day that it records with just a quick list of my meals that day. Later, (ie. several days later) I’ve been going back and narrating the day, but it seems I have forgotten to record what I had for dinner on this the forty-sixth day of our local Summer. I apologize profusely, and wish I could really recall…let me think for a minute about Thursday.
Wow, I can’t believe that actually worked! I had french toast! Haha. Ryan came by to drop off a grocery bag full of our local ingredients: eggs, bread, corn, syrup, and butter. I made french toast & skipped the corn for the night. ‘Twas a super delicious meal that I actually thought my client might be jealous of! I just made him a meatloaf…
