Man, I am ever-impressed by the stir-fry concept. It’s really quite brilliant. You throw a bunch of stuff together in a frying pan with a little bit of cooking oil and BAM! Instant meal!
Really, though, a bunch of veggies getting all steamy together — clearly this is a good idea. With garlic and onions you’ve got the whole house smelling great. For the omnivores out there, you could top said veggies with some grilled chicken. Vegetarians should definitely start the frying pan with an egg or two before adding veggies. And vegans can have it over rice or with tofu chunks instead!
The stir-fry is nearly effortless, doesn’t require a lot of attention, and it is just a little bit different every single time so not only is it quick and easy, it’s also quite often a surprise! Depending on the quality of your ingredients, too, it can be one of the absolute healthiest meals you could make!
Tonight I chopped my veggies and added cellophane noodles and soy sauce to the pan. Mmmmm. Nothin’ better than this, a cup of tea, and The Gilmore Girls to tide my over until my honey gets home.
