Oh, what a trip we had! We departed from Portland on Thursday night, made it to our friends’ house in New Hampshire pretty quickly, and the St. Patrick’s Day festivities began from there. Ryan and I were lucky enough to stay over until this morning, laughing with friends, watching movies from Ryan-and-company’s high-school days, and having our morning coffee in a gigantic blanket fort (complete with an accordion as an emergency exit, a shamrock flag flying above, and, yes, even a disco ball hanging from the “rafters” — great work, Andy).
The weather was truly fantastic yesterday. We went for a walk, the group of us, and Pam + Rob’s daughter Emily rode her bike “like the wind”.
New England weather is truly mind boggling. On Thursday morning I had to scrape ice off of my windshield before my drive to work. On the way home that day, the windows were rolled down and my jacket was in the back seat. Friday was beautiful still (as you can clearly see from the photos), but this morning there was a spurt of hail during our drive home and the heat whispered softly from the vents for the whole trip. I love the unpredictability of my region’s weather, but I also can’t wait for some consistent sunshine.

Hope you’re all doing just ducky, and I’ll see you again tomorrow!
