Hey, remember brother Kip from Napoleon Dynamite? Well, turns out, he (the actor, Aaron Ruell, anyway) is actually quite a decent photographer.
You’re probably more familiar with him than you think you are. For example, he was involved with the We Will Become Silhouettes video (The Postal Service) starring the boys + Jenny Lewis.
I’m loving the saturated colours and the structuring of his scenes. The clean aesthetic he produces is so pleasing to the eye.
Each photo really captures a time, a place, and a feeling. I can so easily imagine myself inside the frame and understand what it would be like to actually be there.
Also, I have a really hard time not liking anyone who uses that much woodgrain…
