Summer’s not over yet (although I’m starting to feel the chill!), so I had to share this dream-come-true of a Camp location with you before it was too late:

Camp Wandawega.

Essentially, it’s all of my favourite things in one place. Camp culture, sprawling across acres of gorgeous land, filled to the brims with vintage decor, on the shore of a lake — my goodness, when can we go? If you’re a girl my age, you’ll get the right idea if you just think of that epic adventure in Molly Saves The Day.

No matter who you are, though, you’ve simply got to see it. I mean, every inch of this place is ideal. I’m not sure I’d even be able to choose where I stayed! The lake house? The log cabin? The tents? The treehouse? Perhaps all of the above?

If any of you go, don’t forget to invite me!

1950s Kitchen Tour

Well, I’m sufficiently gushing over this slideshow of 1950s kitchens.

What is it with me? Wave a couple of Eames chairs or a striped awning in front of me, and I’m completely head over heels. I mean, mid-century is my jam. It’s not like I was there, or anything, but maybe that’s why the whole aesthetic is so charming to me.

Either way, that looks like a real dream come true up there and you need to check it out the whole slideshow for yourself!

Have a great night!

The Perfect Monday Playlist

For us, Mondays are filled with books, music, + leisure.

We take walks, deep breaths, + catch up with friends. I find that Monday has a different feel than the rest of the week (it’s essentially Saturday for us). But it turns out that Danielle from Sometimes Sweet understands how my Mondays feel. In fact, she made the perfect playlist for a day like today. I simply had to share.

Today I’ve been taking a picture every hour. I’ll be posting them all tomorrow so I can share my day with you.

See you then!

How fun is this display in the side window of the Green Hand Book Store?

I took this photo months ago meaning to share it with you then, but I just kept forgetting. I love the aesthetic in this book shop so much that it inspired a more in depth post from me over a year ago. This display, though, necessitated another post if for no other reason than to share the chuckles. Super cute.

Keep it up, Michelle!

Oh, yesterday morning was just lovely!

We started earlier than we usually do on Saturdays because RISE gallery was hosting a vintage yard sale (ie. my dream come true) in South Portland. I was literally too excited to sleep any longer, so Ryan and I readied ourselves and arrived only shortly after they opened up shop.

As we looked, racks of fantastic vintage pieces kept popping up around us, each filled with delicate lacy lingerie, bright ’60s colours, and oh so many florals. There was even a selection of furniture including the most perfect kitchen cart I have ever laid my eyes on (of course, I took it home).

Here are the amazing finds I scored:

In its new home!

We bumped into Laura of Fore Front Fashion, who tactfully reminded me that I may have an apron problem. I have them, I make them, I collect them… really, it’s almost turning into a fetish, she’s right.

Apres ca, we stopped into a coffee house for our morning cuppa, and picked up where we usually do at the Farmer’s Market — all before 10 am!

I love having productive mornings, but it’s so hard for me to wake up if I don’t have something this exciting to pull me out of bed. Anyone else like that?

A Photobooth Friday posted on Saturday morning…I won’t tell if you don’t ;)

As promised, heres the living room of our family’s nostalgic little nest:

So many generations of memories.

This is one of my favourite things about New England; it seems like every family has a Camp.

A demain!

The Blow

I’m really admiring Khaela Maricich‘s effortless and casual style of singing. It’s just so satisfying for me to hear!

She’s got a great voice — flawless, in fact, but she finds no need to flaunt it with unnecessary trills and flourishes like a lot of singers do.

I’m really going to show my age here, but I have to admit that The Police’s Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic didn’t really do anything for me until The Blow borrowed it.

I know, I know, I’m sure it’s a great song…if it is applicable to one’s generation. I’m just saying that, personally speaking, it’s not something I’d purposely play. Come On Petunia, though, I just can’t get enough of.

Go ahead, enlighten me!
