So, you know that I have an Etsy shop, right?

“Yes, and why is that?” You might ask. If you did venture such a question, I would tell you that it’s because I wanted to make and collect things that people might enjoy, and bring a little handmade into their homes. And that I wanted to do it on my own terms, sustainably, because so much of the creation that is done in our world today is wasteful, cheap, and downright depressing.

Tonight, I’m so happy to be reminded with the above video, that I’m a part of an entire community where it seems like every shop owner feels the same way as me. We are a part of Etsy because we want to deliberately, consciously, and creatively bring art into the lives of others.

But sometimes we need advice on how best to accomplish this. That’s why I am so excited to see that Etsy will be hosting a summit called “Hello, Etsy!” where we can all come together and share our knowledge, talents, and insights to help one another achieve our goal — art that is good for everyone.

For more details, have a look at this site! And if you’re not yet a part of Etsy, you’re missing out! You don’t have to be a seller or an artist to be a part of the community. Simply browsing the site, you’re guaranteed to find something that suits you, I promise!

Happy making, all!

xx. Julia
