So, being a Zooey Deschanel fan, I’m wondering how her new show New Girl is!

I usually really like not having cable since it eliminates an obscene amount of distraction and obnoxious advertising. But every once in awhile there’s something I’d like to see on TV which really makes me question it. I can say that during high school I stared at that glowing screen for far too long, and I don’t really want to have that temptation back in my life, but the internet just doesn’t cut it when it comes to shows like this.
So, I must ask:
Did anyone get a chance to see the pilot last night? And, what did you think? And, can I possibly wait another week to see it, or will I perish for lack of spur-of-the-moment personal theme song writing and gratuitous Dirty Dancing viewings? You be the judge.
I suppose that now since I’ve scoured the internet looking for any random web host of the pilot episode and come up empty handed, and also asked for your help, maybe I can get on with my life and do something productive with my afternoon. I’ll just have to hold tight until next Wednesday…

I saw the pilot on Hello Giggles last week (A site that Zoe co-founded that I actually kind of like in terms of light hearted google reader fare) and I liked parts of it and disliked parts of it.
I think that some of the characters are too over the top to be believable, but some of the running jokes based on those characters are pretty funny.
Zoe’s character is lovable but a little too over the top for me.
I’d give it a B-….
How did I miss that!? I follow Hello Giggles, too, but they post so often that I probably only see half of what they show. I’ll have to go check to see if they’ve still got the episode up there.

I heard it was really funny! But i definitely don’t have time for a new show to follow! I’ll have to wait until it’s on netflix. You should watch Ally McBeal if you haven’t seen it! It’s all on netflix and the best show ever in the entire history of television. well. in my opinion

I DVR’d it, so we’ll see. I’d love to say it’s going to be super awesome, but I’m definitely worried that it won’t be
So, I just watched it. I’d have to agree with Shelly’s comment. But I think that it could be the pilot comedy show effect. I think that they’re trying a little too hard. It was super cute though.

Oh, that is so sweet of you, Marsha! Will your Mum be home? I don’t want her to wonder who the strange girl is that is walking into her apartment, haha. But, I’d definitely be willing to check in on your darling fur-babies if they need some TLC while you’re gone! Plus, a free Zooey episode wouldn’t hurt
