Plan dates ahead of time – way ahead of time!
Sit down with your honey when you have a little time. Pick one date each for every month remaining in the year, but don’t tell the other person what you’ve chosen! Write it down on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope marked for that month. When you’re all done, you’ll have two dates per month for the rest of the year, and half of them will be a surprise for each of you! Don’t be afraid to add gift certificates, treasure maps, or scavenger hunt lists to the envelopes, too. Make it interesting and cater it to you + your mr. or ms.!
We started with March since we’re already half way through February. During March, when we have a day off together and nothing to do, we’ll pick one of the envelopes for the month, open it, and do whatever it tells us! It could be anything from a quick little coffee date, to a picnic, or an entire day filled with adventure — you two decide! This is an excellent way to make Valentine’s Day last all year since you’re spending time together now { while planning the dates } and you’re setting yourself up for some quality time in the months to come! Who knows? By the time these dates roll around you may have even forgotten what you’ve written on your own date cards!
