Although it’s still summer, we’ve been so excited about the change of seasons around here that we’re eating soups, baking breads, and having dinner parties. To me, these are all fantastically Autumn activities, and it’s starting to get cooler in Maine, so I find myself enticed.

On Monday night we went to our friend Marsha’s for a delightful dinner party. We ate a hearty meal, had pumpkin pie for dessert, spent time in the grass with our bare feet and hula hoops, then headed back to the kitchen for some cupcakes!
I suppose with all of that time spent outside it really was a summer activity after all. Either way, it was a wonderful night that should definitely be replicated.
What kinds of activities do you do at the end of one season or the beginning of another?
