In time for Fall,

my dearest Ryan presents Poor Planets – the first album from his project Weird Words. This is the first full compilation he’s offered in years and his first concept album ever. I wish I could turn the volume up higher than it goes. I’d love for you to have a listen at his bandcamp page, and if you like what you hear you could “like” his fanpage on facebook, or spread the good word of Weird Words to those you think would appreciate it. And, if you really like it, you could even download the album for only $5. This will be particularly perfect music for the falling of the leaves, but you might as well get to know it now before it’s too late. I think I like “Where’d he go/There he is” and “Illusion of space” the best.

Which song is your favourite?

xx.

Have you ever had something happen that you just can’t explain?

Have you seen something, heard something, felt something strange? Ever had a story told that just chilled you to the bone? Every one of us has had something happen in the past that is unusual in some eerie way. Whether it is an unbelievable ghost story or a sighting still unexplained, your story is waiting to be shared.

My Mister has been dreaming up a podcast idea for quite some time in which he passes on tales just like yours. No matter how simple your story may be, we’re ready and waiting to hear it. Type it up with as much detail as you can recall and email it to me at Jeeze.Julia@gmail.com. Then, tune in and listen as Ryan shares it out loud with the world on his new podcast Lesser Known Tales. I’ll provide the link as soon as his first episode is ready to be aired!

Can’t wait for some new scaries!

xx.

P.s. Might I suggest you type it up by candlelight? Everything is spookier by candlelight.

Durrrrrrr!

Do you know what I forgot to do? I forgot to give you all the free mp3 download of The Rugg Brothers’ first original Christmas song! I can be a real goon sometimes. Anyway, I hope you’re all doing quite well today, and that you’ll enjoy this song by my Mr. and his very best friend. It was so much fun to make this video last year, and also, to make their new video for this year’s song!

Download “It’s Christmas Again” here!

Yesterday I took a photo an hour, and I’ll be sharing them all with you tomorrow. I’m still pretty swamped with Christmas gift making {as fun as it is}, so bear with me. Listen to The Rugg Brothers on repeat until I’m back, maybe?

Have a great night!

xx.

What a week we’ve had!

I’ve been incredibly busy this week with my last minute preparations for Christmas. With less than a week left, I still have a lot to do. Tomorrow I’ll mail the last of my projects that are traveling, and then I’ll be able to focus on the rest of the things that I’m doing for those I’m spending the holiday with. I still feel so far behind!

We did take a break from all of our making to visit some friends in New Hampshire. Ryan + Rob {aka. The Rugg Brothers} were able to write a quick song and make an accompanying video while we ladies chatted about their greatest Christmas gift this year — baby number 2!

I’m sorry I’ve been absent more than usual lately. After Christmas I can promise I’ll be back in full swing. Until then, enjoy this new video song from the boys. I hope you love it!

Cheers and best wishes!

xx.

In honor of the first day of fall, I’d like to present you with my very first giveaway!

A lot of the blogs I follow have frequent giveaways where one lucky commenter (in about 200) will get a bag or something. It’s great! I love getting free things! But I comment on just about every single one, and I’ve never actually been the lucky winner. So, I wanted to have a giveaway on my blog where everyone wins.

| If you’re reading this right now, you have won a lovely free download |

My darling writes the most beautiful music. He’s been writing a lot lately and has just started up his own BandCamp. Download a pretty little autumn song for free by clicking this link, then have a look at his page later if you like what you hear. There’s nothing uploaded to his site just yet, but if you check back next week there should be some great songs for you (maybe even with backing vocals by me)!

It’s my way of saying thanks :)

Enjoy, friends! And happy autumn!

xx.  julia
